Heya, I'm Candle. To put it simply I like to roleplay.
This is where I will put all my thoughts, ideas, and ramblings for such. If something piques your interest merely send me a message over Discord and we can talk it out.

Personal Information

Name: Candle
Age: 27
Pronouns: He/him, they/them also accepted.
Timezone: CST
Ten years of roleplay experience split between a number of MMORPGs, video games, forums, and chats.
Additional Information:
I am working on a technical course which takes priority over roleplay, though I do have time during the week to devote to RP as long as there isn't a project. I tend to be more free later in the day or towards the end of the week and leading into the new week.
I'm always looking to improve with my writing so if you do have any critiques please share them.

Roleplay Information

I generally type between two to five paragraphs, depending on how much I feel I need to convey. I am seeking to improve both my sentence structure and length of posts so if you have any criticisms, once more, please let me know.I generally play male characters but have and can play female characters. I create new characters for new storylines unless they are a continuation and rarely have any characters floating about because of such, I prefer to tailor new characters to the genre, setting, and plot rather than reuse something I have played in the past.I do not roleplay as canon characters and only roleplay with original characters.

Interests

I enjoy a variety of settings and genres, as long as they involve strong characters and fun plots. The definition of 'strong' and 'fun' are vague in this context but are both attainable with some work. The main elements of character are consistency and personality while for plots I personally love something a bit less planned. Going into a scene or storyline with a general idea is nice but diverging and changing as often as it might stick to it adds a liveliness that I don't often find in more outlined narratives. Some of the best roleplay I've ever had is when I or the other participant takes it a direction one or both of us wasn't expecting due to some split decision.I can and have played multiple characters so plots can revolve around a cast rather than just a pair. When it comes to genres, settings, and themes I'm rather open. I enjoy creating things with my RP partner as much as we conform to norms. That said I am more than willing to play a character in a partner's own creation or in some pre-established settings though pre-established settings are not my first choice. My personal preference of established settings are: Star Wars, Dragon Age, and Guild Wars 2, and World of Warcraft to a small degree.Notable genres and settings I fancy to roleplay in no particular order are: Traditional Fantasy (Tolkien-esque/DnD-like), Non-Traditional Fantasy (The rules go out the window, neat magic systems and unfamiliar laws), Science Fiction (From the Cyberpunk genre to Space Operas, and anything beyond either or in-between), Supernatural genre (Hunters and Werewolves oh my, while I don't know much about the lore of both old and new World of Darkness I am a big fan of Changeling: the Lost at least in terms of themes and happenings if we're talking already existing settings), all things intrigue but especially of the courtly variety, and much more.Although I have my own preferences I am accommodating and enjoy meeting the requests of RP partners. If there is something you want merely ask or inform me of such.Themes can range from things dark in nature to more light-hearted, adventure, action, politics, intrigue, romance, war, and a number of other things. I should know what I am getting into beforehand. This is especially true for anything more intimate. Communication is key. Knowing each other's dislikes is essential to making something we both can appreciate. Where intimacy is concerned the RP partner must be at least 21+, and the character as old or preferably older.I would also like to know of any aversions the partner may have as well to any sort of themes or content. If you don't see anything on the aforementioned and informal list, merely ask and I'll more often than not be amenable, if not eager with the right hook.Regarding a partner's writing style I am somewhat fluid, entertainment and effort over word choice and paragraph length are my metrics. I try to match my partners length as often as I can but I do not expect the same in return. As long as we're both having a good time, creating something memorable, there aren't many rules.
